If anyone is experiencing problems with a backup or an installation please can you ensure that you have adequate Write permissions on the <root>/adminstrator/backups and <root>/adminstrator/components/com_babackup folders and that your maximum script execution time and that the memory allocation per PHP script allocated by your ISP is appropriate for the size of Mambo/Joomla system you are attempting to backup. If you continue to have problems relating to time out or memory please contact your ISP and ask them to investigate, as server configuration isssues of this nature are out of our control. Can we also remind the community that this is a backup solution only, there has never been and will probably never be (due to cross platform compatability) a restore function for the database (although we are open to suggestions).
